Location: Kotkankadun Huoltokoti (Carehome/Hospice), Helsinki

Premise: Kotkankatu Huoltokoti is a home/hospice for men with alcohol and substance abuse problems currently or in the past. Their ability to live on their own has been compromised by the abuse on their bodies and minds. This work is still on exhibition in the great tower, where the men's AA meetings also take place. This work was to concentrate on the ability to see, sometimes rise above the daily "muck", and to celebrate their individual stories. The origami cranes rise from the crumpled papers to float and spiral above the room occupants.
